Deputy Chair

Jane and Mark Skinner were Founding members of Cure The Future.

Prior to her retirement in 2010, Jane held the role of Human Resources Director and Director of Third Dimension at Gadens Lawyers for 20 years.

She has a degree in Teaching and a BA in Aboriginal Archaeology and Linguistics.

Previous experience saw her being instrumental in the founding of two non-systemic schools –  Birchgrove Community School in 1976 and later a secondary school, Wawina, in the grounds of Rozelle Hospital.

Jane has significant experience and an ongoing commitment to education and the arts which led her to teach in a community school in the United States (New Jersey), and to develop the HR function and the Third Dimension (Arts, Environment and Community) Program at Gadens.

As well as her involvement as Deputy Chair of the Cure The Future board, Jane is a past board member of Poetry in Action, a not for profit organization that sends groups of young actors into high schools with performances that support their poetry studies, and is back in the classroom, teaching philosophical ethics.

Jane is a Mother of 2 children, Sam and Holly – and has 4 Grandchildren.
