Phil Gould AM

P{hil Gould has been National Rugby League Executive General Manager of Panthers Rugby League since 2011.

He has been well-known to Australian audiences as a Commentator for Channel 9 since 1990 and is a Rugby League journalist for The Sydney Morning Herald.

As a Coach, he worked with Canterbury Bulldogs (1988 – 1998), Penrith Panthers (1990 – 1994) and was NSW State of Origin Coach from 1992-1996, and again from 2002-2004.

Phil has also been a Motivational Speaker for several years and supports the Panthers NRL Centre of Excellence as Programme as an Advisor.

He currently works with Papua New Guinea Government Officials, working with government to advise programs that utilise Rugby League to unite the nation of some 800 tribes and languages for better education and life prospects)

Phil is a keen supporter of Panthers on the Prowl (Board Member), Panthers Women in League and Randwick Children’s Hospital.
